I was such an idiot too. LOL I didn't want to go in the first place. I had a few reasons: I didn't think any girl would want to go with me even though I had many girls who were friends. I didn't have the money at first because it was a monthly payment building up to prom and so I missed out on the first few payments. Then I was set on not going.
Ironically enough one of the girls I knew was invited to my prom (Not by me but another guy and I didn't know that she knew him). This girl called me and asked me if I was going as well. I told her no and then told me it's something to experience and that I should go.
BTW This was like, two or three weeks BEFORE prom started. I ended up calling one of the girls and asking her out to prom and thankfully she said yes. I felt bad for rushing to ask someone to prom when it was seriously late but she didn't seem to mind. And I was lucky that someone in my class decided to back out of prom so I had chance to buy open tickets. And in the end I seriously enjoyed it.
It wasn't like "HOLY **** OMG THIS IS AMAZING" but I felt it was good time. Because before that I never attended Homecoming Dances and stuff so yeah.
Our prom took place at a Hyatt Hotel in one of the large ass event rooms so thankfully it wasn't in our gym. I think all proms from my old high school never took place in our gym.
