Problems playing MP4-AVC Files on PSP Memory Stick Duo

I downloaded some Hentai from PSP-Hentai.com which was formatted for play on a PSP and was converted into MP4-AVC format and yet when I put the files into the correct folder [after forgetting to format my new 4GB Memory Stock Duo] in a subfolder, they wouldn't play at all as I got a message saying that they weren't a recognised format for some reason even tho I read online that MP4-AVC files were supposed to be playable on the PSP and the MP4 files that I've converted so far work fine without any problems at all...

If anyone can tell me why they won't play at all, please let me know...

I've heard so many horror stories of people doing that, then like, a teacher takes their PSP away, or their parents or something else. Haha.

Anyway,

In the event you still need help, first thing's first, I'm pretty sure you need to be on Custom Firmware to do so, if memory serves me correct, that was yet another advantage to to it. If you're on the official updates, then unless it was something I didn't notice, then I'm not sure.

In the event you're on custom firmware, like Dark_Alex's, I would suggest putting everything you don't want to lose onto your computer, then format the memory stick. DA's Custom Firmware will place all the proper folders after the formatting, so it saves you so trouble. And then just make sure everything's in the proper folder.

In the event that doesn't work, I can try to make sure you have proper folders and see if there's anything else.

..If you're not on custom firmware, don't think I can help you, but I could try. (If I recall.. you had to do some dumb folder making and such to get mp4s to even play right.)

I managed to get the problem sorted out since with some advice from one of the guys on the site concerned as he advised me to rename the numbers on certain files that clashed with other files that were named the same...
