You guys are gonna hate me for this, but I always thought these American cartoons might work as Japanese Anime..

Why? Basically I just thought the 1980's theme tune ("who do ya call, GHOSTBUSTERS!!") goes pretty well the the style of Animation. Anyone seen that music video with Yu Yu Hakusho?

The PPG cartoon wasnt strictly to "parody anime". Not in the idea that you all might think. It was just a funny cartoon. Had anime eyes, some little jokes at all kinds of movies and other cartoons. It was just a funny and cute cartoon and I loved PPG.

I dont know what to think of this anime. I already hate the Henshins. They move around too much that it's annoying to watch. The opening theme is awesome though

but we know they WOULDNT do it right. In fact there are somethings that anime cant do without a good budget. If you want any of the kick ass sentai action or PR action we see in some episodes then it willr equire a huge animation budget. Because it costs tons of money to animate that kind of action. No we will get dumbed down action and poor quality animation.

It should stay Live Action. Because we can get so much more for less money with real people.

But I'm happy to watch PPGZ subbed or raw, but at the moment I can't find it on BitTorrent anywhere. I'll try Mininova again..

Just downloaded and watched episode 1..

Well I know that I'm gonna get bashed and flamed about for liking this series, but.. I like it!! So BLAAAAAAAAH!!! Dunno what's with all the hatred upon this series, either it's because they didn't like the original Powerpuff Girls in the first place, or it could be the same reason why they wouldn't like Toei's version of Spiderman (another case of Anti Sentite / Anti Japanese syndrome).

But anyway, to me this seemed pretty much like a cross between the original Powerpuff Girls and Power Rangers, and being a fan of both shows this was pretty much a joy to watch. The PPGs rater than being girls made of Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice (literally), they were actually normal everyday teenagers who had Blossom, Buttercup and Bubbles as alter egos.

BTW, this file I downloaded seemed to have contained 2 episodes. Was the first episode meant to be the pilot?
