Power Rangers team names in 2008

Any chance someone can translate what this means?

Well according to ZhongWen.com there is no such thing as 'zhuq', and while ZhongWen.com doesn't have every word in the chinese language I do find the term 'zhuq' extremely suspicious... it just doesn't 'sound' like a real word.

'Pai' on the other hand exists. It can mean to shoot a movie, to hesitate, or the joining of two rivers... depends on the tone.

So basically, everyone who was freaking out over the name and thought that it meant there wouldn't be a martial arts emphasis in the show is now being served up an party-sized pizza topped with extra crow. Eat up, guys.

I actually was surprised to see people jumping to conclusions considering the title "Operation Overdrive" doesn't really indicate treasure hunting.

:sly: You mean to tell me people were going ape sh*t over a damn name? Oh my god  LAME! STUPID!!! I feel sad for the producers. These are the people, they have to deal with

Maybe "zhuq" was just romanized improperly?

I doubt it. 'uq' is not a proper sound in Chinese.

a, e, i, o, u, y, ai, ei, ou, ao, yi, ue, an, en, ang, ong, etc etc... I studied all the basic sounds when I took my chinese classes, none of them sounds like 'uq'. So I doubt 'Zhuq is a real word.
