Power Rangers: Super Samurai - News/Rumors/Discussion Thread (OCTOBER 13th, NEW EPS)

Well, I hadn't been following Samurai for some time, so, I wouldn't really know, but to me as a hobby-translator, it just seems unnecessary to keep it English. We already have way too many anglicisms in our language as it is, and I don't even LIKE the German language. :B

ok then how wouldyou have called it in german?

[Herman the German]

Schwarze Kiste. Sounds pretty alright in the context to me. :B

Ah i think i know why they didn´t translated it.
They didn´t have to, because "Black Box" is already a well used term in the german Aircraft industry.
Black Box = "Flugdatenspeicher"
So they had to leave it in english because it would not make sense if it would be translated^^

Except there's more than one kind of black box and this black box is certainly not the kind they use in airplanes? (Unless pilots are SERIOUSLY hiding something from us :V )

OMG pilots are Power Rangers? :O_O: THAT WOULD EXPLAIN EVERYTHING!!!

[Digifiend]

The black box is literally a black box - but if they didn't want to call it that, why didn't they just do some research, and use the Japanese name, Inromaru. Samurai is a Japanese themed season, so it wouldn't be out of place.

Because it'd sound odd to lil' kids who already have to wrestle with Japanese terms that make little sense to them but sound "cool"? (Sharingan, Kamehameha, that sorta stuff :V )

Hey, that is the fault of the fans who constantly send tons of protest emails when a name isn´t pronounced in the exact same way or a attack hasn´t the same name it has in the japanese original

Here are some new rumors who could be Spikes mom, directly from Dr. Narvy(Skull):

~Narvy says Athenia, Goddess of War is Spike's mom

~Narvy says Spike's mom is not Kimberly but says do you REALLY believe that Trini went to a peace conference?

What do you think about that?
