Kain
Lurker
Geist Inc, probably the only paranormal investigation agency in the town Ridgecrest California, and likely the state or at least the only serious one that had actual credibility, was alive with the usual blaring rock music that the owner, Kain Virsayan, preferred. As usual he found himself not doing any actual work, likely because there was none to be done, instead choosing to occupy himself with the pinball machine as KISS's Detroit Rock City played in the background. It wasnt exactly an easy business to be in these days, when it came to the supernatural and spiritual people seemed to prefer burying their heads in the sand known as science than admit that there are things simply beyond comprehension and beyond the understanding of normal people. Oh yes he was well aware of the existence of spirits and ghosts, and likely one of the few people within hundreds of miles that was qualified to exorcise them. Plus it wouldnt be suprising if he was the only one who possesed the tools to do so with one hundred percent efficiency. Though unsuprisingly to the average person he seemed like a lazy bum trying to make a quick buck, after all he seemed to be more than unproffesional due to the junk that seemed to be all over the establishment. Not like he felt he needed to make an ever to to hide all of the miscellaneous junk that he brought back, most requests tended to be phoned in and the only people that tended to come in either knew him or worked for him anyway. Besides more than anything else the business was mostly a front anyway for his real occupation. Sure he was a lazy perverted guy who would prefer to go out partying, but he also just happened to be a member of an age old secret society that was dedicated to ensuring that spirits would safely pass on, rather than linger and clump together into horrific beings known as Soulbeasts, which would seek out other souls to integrate into themselves and become stronger, and if left alone long enough gain physical existence which would cause even more damage on both planes of existence. He just so happened to be in charge of a team, made up of the latest generation of the six main families of the Specterus organization whose duty was the seek out and eliminate the Soulbeasts, known as the Soul Hunters. The business proved to be helpful to their purpose as hauntings which had actual effects on the physical plane tended to be linked, or at least be the precursor to the emergence of a Soulbeast, and lets face it if such a thing can be prevented before even having to suit up it was a big victory as far as he was concerned. Besides its not like transforming anytime before sundown was simple either.
Luckily he was able to pay his employees fairly well, the Virsayan family's old fortune allowed him to keep those that worked under him well paid inspite of their usual lack of business, provided they didnt mess with his Ghostbusters memorabilia. Though he did have a tendency to spend alot of time thinking up pranks to pull on his assistant Hitomi, whose reactions to pranks were utterly hilarious as far as he was concerned, besides he felt he needed to get her back for all of the times she interfered with him getting a date with the few female customers that walked in. After a while the door to his office opened as it did every so often when he found himself bored. "Any calls yet? We should actually be getting one today after all." he said looking a little less bored than usual. For once he was fairly sure they were going to get some business, mostly because he had known in advance that it was on it's way.
((Do whatever. Keep in mind that the team has already been formed and everyone is at least aquainted with each other on some level. ))
