Well the trailer is similar to the KRDK trailer and the theme song is short in lyrics, but hardcore like the KRDK theme. Not to mention RPM also has a dark tone.

It's not that it's a bad thing and they're not directly copying everything, I was just taking notice on certain things.

Every show has one of those trailers. It's rare for fans to ever see them.
RPM is in NO WAY related to KR. So just because two shows decided to have deeper stories they are copying one another? And could someone please define "dark story plot" beyond just the show being more interesting

"Dark" in relation to the last several seasons, which were usually:


- Rangers do something that might be related to the lesson they will learn.
- Monsters Appear
- Rangers fight monster, usually get beat the first time.
- Rangers learn lesson for the episode. Usually about teamwork.
- Rangers beat monster, then beat monster in robot.
- Rangers all have a good laugh.

While I'm not saying every SINGLE episode is like that, they tend to do that way too much. I'm also not gonna say we won't have any of that in this series, but i don't think it will be as much.

Also theres the whole "The world is barren wasteland" thing.

Ok, its presumptuous and not right, but this is even more wrong.

You cant compare Kamen Rider to Power Rangers. Even Americanized, they are two different series. Power Rangers will ALWAYS be a kiddy show. Even if they edit Kamen Rider down more then necessary, The Riders will always be the badass big brother of Tokusatsu.

Power Rangers will ALWAYS be the step brother

And where have you been? Kamen Riders theme sounds nothing like RPM's.

Well I'll admit the two do sound a LIIITTLE bit alike.

But I don't think the two are very similar at all. I won't go into story details because, quite frankly, I don't know any of them, but fro the general tone I get of the two stories, RPM still has that PR flavor to it, while Kamen Rider feels like a completely different show. I don't even think it feels like a Kamen Rider at this point, but a whole new experience, which is a damn good thing :thumbs:

I'll concede that they do sound alike. But story wise, nothing to compare. One is a virus taking over the world, while a kid doctor makes talking giant cars to save the world with three soldiers, a kid, and some cyborg wannabe Alex Murphy. Thats the basic story and it will turn into the illegitimate child of Lost Galaxy. :O_O:
