I highly doubt PR will be aimed at teens, as teens arent the ones buying the toys.

There are teens & young adults who buy PR toys but usually just as a collection even when not playing with them.

thats a down side, in my opinion. Sure the NZ fights are nice but they often are over excessive and take away from the rest of what little episodic plot we get. The production needs to go back to relying on Sentai footage. They are wasting good money refilming scenes when they already have footage they can appropriately use.

And they waste even more money with the excessive explosions. All that money could have gone to something like....more episodes.

I like the article. Even if shows are targeted to older fans the kiddies still toon in, well in my family anyway.

PR could easily go back to it's PRiS-PRWF style and the kids would still eat it up and the older fans would have less to complain about.

That article is made up of half-truths.

Toon Disney was never a commercial failure, it's just reached the end of its shelf life. Jetix was originally intended to be its successor, but instead the channel will now be called Disney XD, perhaps to capitalise on XB's multimedia nature.

As for PR gearing up for an older audience, possibly. Their most recent brief asked for a TV-PG drama series pitch along the lines of Samurai Girl and Naruto. But if they do change PR, they'll ensure it's child-friendly, like the new Star Wars series. I doubt they'll make it TV-PG though...

What I think he means when he said Teens is returning the PRLG era. So far the storyline shows that it is or can be a mature and darker season.

What nearly killed Turbo was trying to make it more serious while the Sentai was actually more comedic.

Yeah. That's what killed it. It couldn't have had anything to do with in no particular order: Justin, turning Bulk and Skull into chimps, ditching last seasons storylines to focus on detonator of the week plots, focusing too much on Justin, replacing Zordon with Dimitria, turning Tommy into a background character so he can focus on.. wait for it... racing, or did I mention Justin?!
