Power Rangers RPM

Jetix Europe easily has the creative and financial means to take over production fulltime, so I'm hoping they do, rather than us having a stupid cartoon that makes PR just like any other Saturday morning series.

I really hope that if this 2D business actually becomes business, Jetix Europe keeps regular production going in NZ for the International markets, which seems to be the case anyway as Jetix Europe appear to be the only reason we got RPM.

As long as they don't de-Americanize it, I'd be okay with that.

I say it would probably be de-Americanised, and made into a more international series. I'd put money on any potential Jetix Europe series being London-based, because there'd be no reason to keep in American if it's not even airing there (and also Auckland is easy to dress up at modern London).

Well no offense to them but F that then. That was the whole purpose from the beginning. Having an American Toku.

The only choices for PR is for Disney to grow some balls or Too just shut it completly.

The 1st one will never happen...ever.

That's something I wouldn't want. Who said anything about it not airing in America?

if Jetix Europe makes it London based then at least it'll be different and at that point the purpose will change. You can call it PR in Name Only if you want (PRINO!) but it wouldn't change the fact it would be interesting.

I bet Jetix Europe could easily make a full on international team, that'd be cool! No hiding of accents.

...What's the point of having Power Rangers if they'll de-Americanize it?

:redface2: You do realise Power Rangers can be set anywhere in the world? There's nothing exclusively American about the format, and never has been.

Considering RPM was going to be pulled before Jetix Europe jumped on-board, American audiences are clearly not much of a priority anymore for the Power Rangers brand. Which makes it possible Jetix Europe - which is now a Disney company - could just inherit the franchise from next year, and the show is made just for Eurasian audiences.

So let's say that's the case, why would Jetix Europe spend money on "faking" America, when the show could just as equally be set in Britain?

That's not the issue. We just don't want PR to end up with a Euro cast or something.
