Power Rangers RPM

They shouldn't have mentioned the Thunder Rangers in the promo at all but instead should have mentioned Lothor, who actually was evil.

All right then that I understand. But wing knight also pointed out that they were only evil for like 5 eps.

And i was trying to say, so was every other evil ranger.

You didn't like PRDT but you enjoyed PRWF? That's messed up.

*raises hand* I liked DT but I found WF far more enjoyable. WF was an amazing season

Zeke & Luther doesn't even air until summer and it's already got more mention than RPM.

Well think about it; Power Rangers is a house hold name. It's globally known. It already has an established audience base. Why would Disney waste advertising if those commercials dont feasibly increase that market?

Disney doesnt need to advertise PR because most people know where its on and when it's likely to be on.

Zeke & Luther is a complete unknown and needs the extra time for word of mouth to spread; for its existence to become known. PR doesnt need that handicap anymore.

However it would be nice to have at least one teaser by the end of January.

They want to attract older kids, how the hell do they expect to get them if they don't advertise it?...These older viewers could think it's the same old kiddy **** and won't tune in.

That doesn't make any sense. Power Rangers is NOT a house hold name, and it hasn't been for years. And if they want to keep it from completely fading into obscurity, they need to promote it. They're basically acting acting like it doesn't even exist right now.

And who are these "most people"? I'd imagine "most people" don't even know PR is still on the air, much less where to find it.

Yes, but MMPR didn't promote the show before airing as five good rangers versus one evil one....nor did DT promote their show as three good rangers versus one evil one....do you not see where were going with this? It's basically misleading. If someone were to sum up NS in a couple sentences, there would likely be no mention of the Thunder Rangers being evil and then turning good, cause it wasn't the bulk of what was going on. The promos are supposed to do this (without revealing too much at the same time, of course) but this one failed to do so. And now that we've obviously seen NS in it's entirety, we know that that is not an accurate description of the main story/plot at all.

that isnt even confirmed yet. I have yet to read an official source saying they are aiming this season at older audiences.

And you know this how? Ask 10 kids and see how many of them know what Power Rangers is. You would be surprised, apparently since you think no one is aware of it. You're telling me that PR is one of the top grossing toy brands in the market and somehow no one knows what it is? Yeah.. that doesnt make sense

Are you insane? Everybody and their grandma knows who the Power Rangers are. Granted, most likely think it's off the air by now, but still, it's without a doubt a household name. Just because people don't know it's still around doesn't mean they don't remember it. It's as common as Barney or Pokemon.

And how do you know that "most people" know when the show comes on and where it airs? You conveniently ignored that part.

Yeah, people are aware of the TOYS, but that doesn't mean people are aware of the SHOW. There's a difference there. Toon Disney is not a very widely available network, and we all know ABC Kids screws up the timeslot, so why would they be aware of the show? Plus, we know the ratings have been dropping since SPD, so I'd say, no, most people DON'T know when it's on.

And I never said no one knows what it is. I said it's not a house hold name, which is not, at least not to nearly the same extent that it once was. Especially not to where everyone just happens to know what time it comes on, which you seem to imply here.

Like, come on, dude, I know you're smarter than that. A TV show can't survive on, "Oh, we don't need to promote it. Everyone already knows when it's on." No, they don't. And it's a very stupid idea for a network to assume that. That how shows get cancelled.

seriously. i want to know what is taken so long to advertise it. it better not be this euro ranger thing that is holding it up.
