I really enjoyed the backstory of the Mystics that they have going on here with Calindor. I actually suspected that he was evil suspected that he was a fake. Having him be Imperious was unexpected as well. He's already got more backstory than Morticon. Even if I do like Morticon a bit better.
It's good to see Clare stepping up and being the first one to recognize that Calindor isn't what he appears to be. So our setup to Daggeron is more of a backstory rather than learning about his character. I was kind of disappointed that his Daggeron didn't come in until the last minute. I'm used to having the sixth Ranger get more build up than this. My favorite was when they developed as characters prior to becoming a Ranger. Solaris looks awesome in action though. And Daggeron's intro rather mysterious, but by episode's end we know very little about him.
I had to knock points off for the frog though. It was just a dumb way to bring in Daggeron. Luckily the rest of the episode had a good story and well it's such a step up from a guy from the future stuck as a ball of light. Also nice to see Madison get some focus even if it was revolving around kissing a frog in the middle of a battle.
The Jester has to be one of the stupidest MOTW by far. He draws mustaches on people? I know he's a jester, but not a good pick for Daggeron's first fight.
Overall, I really enjoyed the episode. A few annoying quirks though, but nothing unbarable.
