Politician states "Anime is why two nukes wasn't enough"

No, he's at The Vortex in Atlanta. The menu there was only advertising the kick ass Mexican restaurant. The burgers at the Vortex are pretty kick ass though!

Thing is though, it was supposed to be private. It's a classic case of Old Man Jenkins not understanding how the Twitterpage and Facespaces work. He just happened to be a public figure. And he's already made the obligatory public apology, some Republicans have called him a monster, it's done. It was over before the thread was started.

I suppose he's never seen anime based around the "two nukes" comment. Japan does odd things but so do we as well. Was it directed at the material or the fandom that it gave birth to?
I'm not seeing the funny here. That's precisely what anime is. :eyebrow:
I guess in the sense of "this liquid from my faucet is a kind of "water".

Not in the slightest. My friends and I exchange some pretty terrible jokes between each other.

Thing is, we're not in a public office that calls for us to have a certain... decorum? Is that the word I'm looking for?

But yeah, when you're in public office you can't walk around and crack jokes like that. You've got a responsibility to how you conduct yourself.

FINALLY.
It's the same argument Seth Macfarlane has to make on a daily basis. It's not funny because it's what I believe or in any way true. It's funny because it's so absurd and ridiculous.
