Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Anime

Whilst the recent legal problems of the Western Pokemon dubs and the future of the series in general is still causing some discussion (it's being pulled from Kids WB and may not return to the states), the series will continue with it's next season in Japan "Pocket Monsters Diamond and Perl2, based on the new games. It will feature a new female trainer from the games, and it's being hinted Ash and the original cast of characters will bow out after Battle Frontier (hence why the Battle Frontier is being held in Kanto this season)

If Ash stays and Brock leaves, Pokemon's on its way to becoming a harem anime.

Anywho...sounds good, would be cool if it's a new main cast, but I doubt it, considering what's happened in Battle Frontier.

Probably, people are making a lot of gusses right now, given the tenth season is suppsedly the "final one" according to the voice actor behind James and Brock who was fired alongside the original 4Kids cast, a new character being in some of the promotional posters etc gives an impression there going to reinvigorate the franchise with fresher characters.

Reinventing old series with fresh faces has also occured with Yu-Gi-Oh already

They already had something like this, the Pokemon Chronicles thing. They usually only do it to promote things, like the new games Diamond and Pierl I doubt this is a whole new anime, it maybe an advertisement for a manga seeing as how manga share the same names as games.

Pokemon Housou's are already over, unless they start up a new series of them, this is a new series. Advanced Generation is slated to end in August anyway, and this is supposed to take its time slot.

still a tough call what they are doing, but the latest episode titles from advance generation season 9 indicate a pretty serious wind-down. i think satoshi might finally be written out, but i will only believe it when i see it ^_^;
