True. Once we start saying that someone else shouldn't have the right to say something, that's IMO crossing a line.

There is a group of people called the Westboro Baptist Church who stand at American soldiers funerals with signs saying 'Thank God for dead soldiers' and 'I love IEDs'. That is an incredible insult, and morally, I think its wrong for them to say it, but it is still their right to freedom of speech. If these guys can say all this hateful stuff and still be protected by the 1st amendment, then some asshole in a YouTube video can say what he wants.

So yeah, this asshole in the video can talk **** all he wants. I just kinda mentally label him as an asshole and stop paying attention.

Whatever Michael did or didn't do, he was one of a kind, and shaped the music industry as we know it. Mike, I hope you have finally found some peace, my friend.

Sadly, the biggest problem with freedom of speech is that it protects the people who abuse it, and then they turn around and use it as a shield to hide behind.

It's people like this that make me regret living in America. He talks about all the great things going down, and I agree with all of them except one. He talks about how Michael was a horrible person, and that instead we should be honoring all the troops.

Well that's just a fucking great idea. I've got it. From now on, instead of MJ, let's give four hour ceremonial dedications to each and every soldier that has ever died in the line of duty. We'll delve into their pasts, what made them tick, and then talk about their untimely demise.

Now if we look at *past* wars and their vets, I would be all for this. But right now? Yeah, they are doing so much for us over there. Wasting taxpayer dollars and useful time that could be used for better objectives. I don't hate the soldiers, I hate the reason why we're over there and the fact that we are at all. We've only found like, two plans for any terrorist attacks since 9/11, and both fell through without our involvement.

They aren't doing **** being there right now. Great, they gave Iraq a democracy. That would have happened long ago without us. Hell, it DID after Saddam was killed, but we stopped it. We have absolutely no reason to be there right now, and yet this guy is saying we should worship them like they're fucking heroes? What are they protecting us from now, exactly?

Really, though. You said yourself you don't hate the soldiers, you hate the reason they're over there. They're doing a job. A job that isn't easy to get out of when the **** hits the fan. A job that would be FORCED upon the lives of young men if not for their willingness to step up and do the dirty work. The guy in the video is a dick. If you hate 'that kind of American' so much, why are you doing exactly the same thing, trivializing the accomplishment of an individual (or in this case, many individuals) ? They are heroes, and it would do you good to recognize that fact.

The troops are doing a job. A job they were ordered to do. They have to follow orders, for you to look down on them like you have is just ignorant. Maybe you don't know what the military is, if not you should really do some checking before you stick your foot up your ass again like this. You said "I don't hate the troops" you then go on to bash and insult them. Either you confused about what the term bashing means, or you are making a hypocrite of yourself.

Don't get me wrong I think the troops should be pulled out as well, but it's **** like you have said here that makes me feel sorry for them and their families. Having to see ignorant people say ignorant things about them. They are under orders. They signed up wtih the military and must follow orders. What's your excuse for bashing them?
