Oz: The Great and Powerful aka the Prequel to Oz

It's a prequel so whatever. I'm more worried about the next movie that reinvents Dorothy as an armor clad, ruby red sword wielding warrior who must go on a grand cgi adventure to stab the Wicked Witch in the face till she's dead.
You know it's coming.

That or a movie based on Todd McFarlane's designs that have Dorothy as this leather clad and bound woman with a huge bust.

The Wizard of Oz sure is becoming popular again... How many spin offs does the classic movie need until we're milking a dead cow?

A ton. But I'd be happier if they started adapting the books to the screen. There are 14 books within the original series and only the first two have ever been adapted, and neither was very faithful to the original stories.

Actually, the first three were adapted. Return to Oz (unofficial sequel produced by Disney, though they did license the Ruby Slippers) adapts both Magnificent Land of Oz and Ozma of Oz, combined as one.
