Oz: The Great and Powerful aka the Prequel to Oz

From the director of Spiderman trilogy and the producer of Alice in Wonderland 3D comes a story on how Norman Osbourne has swept from Kansas to defeat the evil witch from the three. In other words, a prequel. What do you think?

It's gonna suck.

Can already tell they changed a whole bunch of stuff, but I'm hoping with this movie they'll start adapting the books properly.

....plus I'll prolly end up loving the movie since they even did this lol

I'm annoyed that, once again, there are only 3 witches, instead of 4. Also, the curled hill from Halloween Town in Nightmare Before Christmas can be seen in the theatrical trailer.

Overall... it just doesn't look interesting to me. I'd rather see the later books be adapted, I really enjoy Ozma's characters.

Ditto.

I mean, it does look cool to me and Franco is a good actor. I just just the later books would get adapted. I'd love to see Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz on the screen at some point.

From what I remember, Warner Bros said they were gonna do those since Harry Potter is over.

It's a prequel so whatever. I'm more worried about the next movie that reinvents Dorothy as an armor clad, ruby red sword wielding warrior who must go on a grand cgi adventure to stab the Wicked Witch in the face till she's dead.
You know it's coming.
