What is the reason of those non translations btw?

It would be interesting to have the point of view of the subbers, sometimes not translating something is a form of translation.

I dont think this is laziness because just adding the sentence for the name of attacks for example, is not the hardest part to do(once an attack is translated, its ok for the whole show), so why?

T-N has stated these reasons among others:

1. It's cool to see Japanese in fansubs
2. Some words have NO translations or are untranslatable.
3. They want people to learn Japanese from their subs
4. They want people to pause their subs and look up Japanese words to: See #3
5. The Japanese language is about their culture in Japan, and changing it would be an insult to the shows.

I cant say watching sentais make me learn Japanese, even if i am able to understand the sentences that always come back.

I did not think a fan sub team could have an educational approach of their work.Interesting.

But if those shows were released in Western countries, those attacks would be translated, even in subbed OAV.

So basically they thought this is how a real fan about Japan must act.(i insult shows sometimes but they dont even answer me:eyebrow

See, no offense, but that's what's wrong with the fandom today. People think they have to have fancy effects. They back up the files that are OMG PRETTY, and the ones that focus on translation and editing are tossed.

"Interesting" is one way to put it, since the **** they "educate" in is purely a random selection of terms that serves no practical purpose and mostly see no use outside childrens' television series. The educational value of their subs is less than 0.
