OT: Mortal Kombat 3!?

I'd like to know.....

Afterwathcing Mortal Kombat II: Anihilation, and after picking up Mortal Kombat: Deception recently (and playing Mortal Kombat: Trilogy with a few cousins), it comes vaugely to me that there was news to a Mortal Kombat: III.

Does anyone know what happened? The news just..............stopped.

Any information would be greatful. Thanks!

All the main players (the only ones that matter, anyway) have been confirmed, i.e. Shou, Soto, Ashby, Lambert, etc. Not sure if Sonya will be Hess or Wilson right now but I seriously hope Hess doesn't come back. The only thing good about her was that she never wore a bra. I'm sure Hirabayashi will be back somewhere too.
