Well guys, I've been gone for a couple days now, and here's why:
On Wednesday afternoon, I thought I heard the UPS guy delivering my TCM box set, and as I was climbing off the couch in my living room, I heard a loud *POP* and my knee gave out under me. After about 35 minutes of sitting on the couch swearing a blue streak and trying to pop my knee back into place, I finally decided to call an ambulance. Well, they arrived at my door and I saw a look of horror. You see, I am not a small man. I am 6'0", and just a hair under 350 lbs. I am not 'fat' however, because I have a very wide frame. Anyhow, the three paramedics that came to my house were each about 5'6 and maybe 150 lbs. So they were not looking forward to the idea of having to carry lil old me to the ambulance. So, they put a big heavy brace on my leg, and I managed to walk out the door.
After about 3.5 hours in the ER, they gave me a big shot of morphine, took x-rays, and gave me another big shot of valium. They still didnt know what the **** was wrong with my knee, so they gave me a bunch of pain pills, and a big brace, and sent me home.
So now it's 2 days later, my knee is getting better, and i have an appointment on Monday with a Sports Medicine Clinic, which is the same one where all the high school football players go when they **** up their limbs like I did.
Unfortunately, I can't do stairs yet, so my room remains un-accessible, and with it, my comp. I'm on my folks comp right now, on the ground floor. So I'm getting better, and hoping I won't need surgery for whatever the **** I did actually do to my knee. I had better be good by Oct 6th. I have a very important job interview AND I'm going to see TCM: The Beginning that night in theaters!!!
Sorrry for the rant, just dint want you guys to think I bailed on you. peace out.
