No more Pinoy-made tokusatsu?

Not sure. One thing's for sure. New Pinoy made tokusatsu have yet to appear because none of us have the budget to create one yet.

This. Besides, there are many tokusatsu in the PH. Mulawin, and Encantadia Trilogy are the best ones I have seen so far... Tokusatsu is special effects and we got lots of them here.

My question, why are so mad about Zaido? I mean, it's a good attempt to try out a Japanese super hero like show in the PH. It's not bad in my books.

I haven't seen Zaido yet, but from what I heard, it's more of a soap opera with special effects than a toku with drama elements.

That sounds liek the same thing. Tokusatsu is special effects which makes your sentence void unless you mean superheroes .

Zaido is pretty lame if you ask me

Is it just me or is it that it's already end of the line because of the major outrages on Zaido?

Zaido has been done with for three years. It will recover ,but they need to get their **** together with guidance from Toei or some other Japanese company. Maybe even Legacy Effects/Stan Winston Stud. could help them.

There are SFX shows out , just not ones suited for your tastes. Zaido I admit was good in concept, but they ruined it with their execution. I don't understand how barely any other Asian nations can be up to the par of Japanese shows quality wise since its been long enough for SOME KIND of result to show up .:redface2:

I just want to see more Japanese like toku in Eastern Eurasia in general from other countries, especially from Thailand ,your country and Indonesia.

Yes, I'm expecting a toku that answers this: "What if Super Sentai met Gundam and there were no giant robots and everything plays like a Tom Clancy thriller novel?"

Sorry. Should have clarified that. I did mean the superhero tokusatsu genre.

I think it's more of a general taste they are leaning towards. I kind of understand why Zaido is more on soap opera because there's a lot of people back home who are into those kind of shows. Someone clarify this for me if anything, but I'll assume that Zaido was shown weeknights at that "soap opera block" of each channel's broadcast. If the plan was to create a child-focused show, they would have put the show on a weekend when I recall most toku in the past are shown in local TV.

By the way that said, I think there were other Toku heroes too, but based on Filipino Komiks (Taglish for Comics). I think ABS-CBN did good jobs on these types of shows.

That said, is Zaido considered "Trendy Drama" like Jetman is?

>Gundam with no giant robots
Not gonna happen...

Wouldn't Gundam and Super Sentai without any robot whatsoever be anathema to both franchises in general?

Yeah, there's Goranger and JAKQ, but even they had unrealistic machines.
