Ragna "D" BloodEdge
By the Power of Gaia!!!
Now there's an optional extra worth considering.
Other interesting rumors about this system:
- It features some sort of true analog stick.
- The screens are 4 inches across.
- It features an accelerometer and tilt sensitivity (like the iPhone).
- It's compatible with DS games and DSiWare.
- It uses an even better form of the DSi's improved wireless networking.
- It generates 3D graphics on par with the GameCube.
- Western developers have already completed games for the hardware.
- The massive pixel gutter between screens on the DS has been removed. The pixel gutter between 3DS screens is effectively 1 pixel, meaning developers can use the two screens as one giant screen more smoothly.
I believe that's what is happening. The games rumor came out of GDC, where information suggested that programming for the 3DS was nearly identical to programming for the GameCube.
I don't understand quite how that works, since the GameCube was a PowerPC and the 3DS is supposed to be an nVidia Tegra. I wonder if Nintendo is standardizing its architecture to keep development costs down?

All this up here? Calling it now; bull ****.
