What is the difference between the comics and the movies anyways?

The comics were dark, brooding, and a HELL of a lot more violent. As in, they were actual ninja's, and not Hollywood's idea of ninja. There was no type of surfer types, and also while pizza was eaten, there was no weirdass toppings on them.
Also there was no color code to the maskes in the comics (they were all red...or a black, cause the original comics were black and white).

Pretty much the comics RULED!!

I believe this one might be, actually. There are talks of it being rated R.

No way, you look at the series right now and it's aimed at kids... the studio would be stupid to make it rated R.. no kids will go watch it because their parents won't let them.

Now that I'm older, I shouldn't have to suffer though what COULD be a cool ninja movie, just because there was a kiddie-cartoon and a toyline.

It's all about the money my friend, all about the money.

They aren't going to make a TMNT movie jsut to please the older fans... that's the bottomline.

w00t!! When i still worked at the video store, we would watch the first two movies all the time. It still amazes me how much mobility the stunt actors had in those suits. I mean, to be able to land a standing back-flip wearing 30 pounds of rubber is amazing to me. Of course, I couldn't land a standing back flip buck-naked and high on cocaine, so I guess I wouldnt know from personal experience. lol
