"Nikita" New TV Series/Remake - Discussion

Nikita (starring Maggie Q), a remake of the highly popular 90's series, follows the story of Nikita, a rouge spy and assassin. Her mission: Bring down the agency in which she used to work for.

I was kind of interested, then I saw McG is listed as executive producer... At least he's not directing, but he produced Chuck too and that kind of sucked

The funny thing for me is that in (I'm guessing) Russian, the name "Nikita" was actually originally exclusively a male name (e.g. former Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev). So it's basically like taking a female character and naming her something like "James" or "Matthew". It's only been within the last couple of decades, AFAIK, that it's become used as a female name.
