NFL 2012-13 Season Official Discussion Thread

I can't believe I just witnessed a tie. I rather lose than get into a tie. The 49ers didn't deserve to win the game. Of course, they had chances but David Akers has shown this year the reason why the Eagles let him go after the 2010 season. To miss a 41-yard FG is disappointing. If it was a 50+ yarder, then it's understandable. Also, the Rams had so many chances to win this game but they kept cock-blocking themselves. This sucks indeed. It might play a big role in the Playoff seedings too.

In other news, the Eagles season is over. Throw in the towel and clean house. Andy Reid has to go. You fire your own Defensive Coordinator and the team still sucks. Mark Sanchez needs to be benched too. Time for the Jets to start Tebowmania because what'cha gonna do brother, what'cha gonna do, when Tebowmania runs wild over you?

So does anyone like how their team is doing so far this year? Rob Gronkowski is out four to six weeks due to a broken forearm. He had no business being in a PAT attempt. Good job Belichick. The Eagles season keeps going down under and the same goes the Chargers. The Cardinals committed 5 INTs on the Falcons and still end up losing the game. How do you do that? Lastly, the 49ers whooped them Bears on MNF. Awesome. Kaepernick looked sharp and he was impressive. Aldon Smith was a beast with 5.5 sacks by himself.

I hated that the 49ers got into an OT game with the Rams again. The way how it was going, I knew it was gonna happen. We couldn't make any big plans or score points besides Gore's TD. Funny how the Rams played to lose the first meeting and this time, the Niners played to lose it. Kaepernick gave up 8 points. Plain and simple. If that Alex Smith starting, he wouldn't have given that up at all. He would rather take the sack and live to fight another play. Something Kaep needs to do. Smith gets criticized for being a great game-manager, well, Kaep failed at being a game-manager. I hated this lost. I want Smith to start again.

Anyways, nice to see the Chiefs win another game. It was an inspiring performance especially after the death of one of their players. Mark Sanchez finally got benched. I think the whole world was waiting for it. Can't believe this guy has a big contract. He doesn't deserve it at all. Andrew Luck is now the most successful rookie QB in NFL history. What a huge comeback win they had against the Lions.

I'm so glad the 49ers got the win over the Patriots tonight. Made all the East Coast bias analysts have to deal with a legit West Coast team able to go on the road and pull out a victory. I was getting flashbacks of the NFC Divisional game from last year with the quick lead and then we started to play soft and allow the Pats to come back. Boy was that nerve-wracking. But glad LMJ made that huge kickoff return and then Crabtree caught his second TD of the night. I have to admit, I don't know how this game would've gone had Alex Smith played. Kaepernick was impressive tonight for sure.

"East Coast bias analysts", first time I've heard that term. Any chance you could clarify what you mean here?

ESPN analysts. They're always talking about East Coast teams like the Patriots, Cowboys, Eagles, and others. They would spend 30 minutes talking about them and then 3 minutes on a team from the West or Central part of the US. It is what it is though. Glad the 49ers won to at least make them shut up about the Patriots.

I see. I do like the Patriots though so, while I do understand and while I would feel the same if I was in your shoes, I'm not completely emphatic to it.

Thank god I had to work last night during the 49ers/Seahawks game. If there's a time where I am happy to miss a 49ers game is when they lose because that means I don't need to waste my time catching up on it. Lol...But yeah, it sucked to hear how bad they got whooped. I knew Kaep was gonna struggle again. It was bound to happen. If he keeps having problems "game-managing", well then I want our "Game-Manager" QB back. At least I know what we're getting into with him instead of Kaep. Darn it Harbaugh, you went all in with your game chips and I dont see it working in the Playoffs. I just don't!

Glad the Niners are the second seed. They could use the rest as they got a lot of injured players lately. Every year, there's always a #1 seed that fails hard in the Playoffs and I think that can happen to Atlanta. If they do, I would love to see us host the NFC Title game again. This time, with a win and with more fair weather. The Playoffs should be exciting.

Divisional Playoffs this weekend.

Ravens vs Broncos
Texans vs Patriots

Packers vs Niners
Seahawks vs Falcons
