I have not yet seen UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: REGENERATION, and for that I am ashamed. I've actually heard some pretty good things about the flick, but you know how DVDs pile up. Takes forever to get through all of them. Look, I'm getting to it, okay?! Jeez...
Anyway, I'm gonna have to hop on that soon, because there's another one coming! The news coming from Cannes is that John Hyams, who helmed that last one, will once again be sitting in the director's chair. More importantly, Dolph and Jean-Claude will also be back. It's considered the fourth in the UNIVERSAL SOLDIER series, despite the existence of UNIVERSAL SOLDIER II: BROTHERS IN ARMS and UNIVERSAL SOLDIER III: UNFINISHED BUSINESS.
Filming is slated to begin in October. And of course, it will be released in 3D. No word on whether or not it will be shot that way, although obviously they're aiming for a theatrical release this time around.)
