NBA 2014-2015 Season Discussion Thread

Never expected the Grizzlies to end up being the top team of the Western Conference during this early part of the season. They shut down James Harden and the rest of the Rockets. The Cavs continue to lose these games they should win. You got to be kidding me here. It's the fricken Nuggets who have been getting whooped in every game and have now won two straight games. I'm sad that the Pelicans couldn't maintain their lead against the Blazers. Really thought they were going to win but the Blazers kept fighting back. Great game. Lastly, Pau Gasol was supposed to make his return to Los Angeles but he wasn't available (along with Rose) and the Bulls still managed to beat the Clippers. The Clippers are really looking like pretenders right now. Not sure how they are going to fix this.

I think that the change in the Assistant coaching sich might have made the Clippers weaker, chrono. I mean...I think the Clips played better defense under Tyronn Lue....

Well the Clippers got whooped by the Grizzlies. This team is not looking like a contender unless they do something drastically. Like a mid-season trade or something. The decline of Matt Barnes is costly as they are forced to play Jamal Crawford who is more interested on offense than defense. Lastly, Hedo Turkoglu is still in the league? Lol...Forgot about him.

Well that was an annoying lost to the Rockets. Ramon Sessions made Isaiah Canaan look like a legit Point Guard. Canaan has been garbage as a fill-in starter for Beverley. Very disappointed here. And the Kings gave Harden trouble (10-31 FGs) but he was still able to do his damage to get his team the win.

The Warriors are making it look easy out there when they play "inferior" teams like the Magic. The fact that Curry was able to put up his stats in 24 mins of action. The Cavs were out for revenge against the Wizards and man that was a big time kill. Lebron with a near triple-double. Kris Humphries is flopping as a fill-in starter for Nene.

Soo...The Sixers...aiming to be the first team to be 0-82 in a season? O_o

I'm starting to wonder if they can even reach 10 wins this season. This is just pathetic. The team is so young.

By the way, your Clippers are starting to heat up ever since I said that they were looking like pretenders. Lol...I noticed that they have been letting Deandre Jordan play his regular 30+ minutes and letting Hawes spell him for a bit too.

LOL. I noticed that upward trend too...it's good. That means that the new players are getting used to each other, and the team's getting used to the new assistant coaches...

Next order of business: Avenge those losses vs. Memphis and Golden State before taking on San Antonio once more. Clips are fully capable of getting wins against them.

As for the Sixers, maybe not 10 wins, but come on...the Sixers are more than capable of nabbing 1 to 2 wins every now and then. They talk about tanking to rebuild, but aiming for 0-82 is just...embarrassing. At least grab those 1 or 2 wins to show the fans that they're not just letting other teams walk over them while waiting for Joel Embiid and whatever other #1 draft pick they're hoping for.

No Duncan, no Parker for the Spurs. No problem. They still came out to Philly and got the win. It was a close competitive game though as the Sixers kept fighting but couldn't get the job done. The losses keep piling up as the world awaits for them to get their first win of the season.

The Heat were looking like a contender a few weeks ago but have been slipping big time. Even with Dwayne Wade back, they still got whooped by the Wizards. John Wall after two subpar games came out and did whatever he wanted in the court.

Lastly, the Clippers are looking dangerously good again. I knew they were going to blowout the lowly TWolves. It was just a matter of how many points.

Well...I think a blowout against a short-handed TWolves was the hoped-for result; otherwise the Clippers would've been accused of playing down to their opponent's level.

As for the Sixers, I think it might only be a matter of time before they finally get Win # 1.
