NBA 2013-2014 Season Discussion Thread

It's very pathetic that a full Cavs squad lost to a Lakers team that had only 8 players suited up. Then 2 of those players got hurt and can't play while the other fouls out. I legit LOL'd at Robert Sacre still getting to play even after racking up his 6th foul. This is such a situation that hardly happens. Steve Blake racked up one of the most random triple-doubles of the season as well. About the Cavs, they absolutely suck. This team probably gave up on Mike Brown. The same Cavs fans who burned Lebron's jersey when he bolted to South Beach are probably wishing for him back. It ain't going to happen.

Speaking of Lebron, he had to show up in Staples Center against the Clippers. It was a very good game. Thought the Heat closed it out but the Clippers never gave up. When Blake Griffin starts jacking up 3's and makes them in, you know it's serious. The Spurs continue to win even with all the injuries they are consuming. It is really impressive. And lastly, the Kings faced the Raptors and defeated them. The Raptors made a furious comeback and I thought Kyle Lowry's offensive foul at the end was not a foul. The Kings lucked out with that call. Rudy Gay must be happy to get a win over his former team.

So...the league picks Anthony Davis to replace Kobe in the all-star game. Not a bad choice, coz Davis has been balling hard for the Pelicans. However...not really feeling it either; I would rather they have chosen Goran Dragic in the end, since it will be a guard replacing a guard.

Though...knowing Scott Brooks, he'll prolly plant Harden in the starting lineup, since he's the best 2 Guard in the west right now while Kobe is still re-recuperating.

The last time the Kings played the Cavs, they whooped them in what was at the time the most lop-sided loss of the season. This time, the Cavs got their revenge as all their players stepped up and defeated the Kings in Cleveland this time. Sucks to see the Kings give up a career game to the rookie Anthony Bennett. This team is trending downwards again. Yuck.

In the battle of the bottom barrel Western Conference teams, the Jazz outplayed the Lakers in Staples Center. The Lakers continue to run out of bodies as Steve Nash got hurt again. All of this is just sad. The only thing I enjoy about Lakers games is that it contains tons of fantasy points. About the other games that happened, Lebron bounced back from his season low game and put on a show against the Suns. More of this guy please. Lastly, the Thunder had a hard fought win against the Blazers. Both teams struggled from the field but it was the Thunder who made the plays at the end.

Nash is as good as done, chrono. No way he can continue to play when that nerve root problem can flare up from time to time.

Welcome back to the Bay Area Alex Smith....I mean, Steve Blake! Yeps, the Lakers have traded Steve Blake to the Warriors for two players and to slash away their payroll. Good for them as they really need to build towards a brighter future. Dwight Howard made his homecoming to Los Angeles was booed all night. But him and the rest of his teammates had their way against the Lakers. It was so bad Jack Nicholson left the arena early.

About the Warriors/Kings game, not much to say. I knew the Warriors were going to win anyways. The Kings couldn't make any shots in the 4th along with defensive stops. Same old stuff.

What first round Playoff matches is anyone in here excited for? The Western Conference has some good ones coming up.

Spurs/Grizzlies
Thunder/Mavs
Clippers/Warriors
Rockets/Blazers

The East, I don't know. They don't seem exciting. Lol...

For reals. Well, the matchups got changed up a little bit due to some teams losing on Wednesday night. The East now has some interesting matchups. The Bulls/Wizards and Raptors/Nets match ups are intriguing. The West got changed due to the Mavs losing to the Grizzlies and now it's the Thunder/Grizzlies and Spurs/Mavs. The Mavs are going to be done in 5 games.

did anybody watch the round table thing they had yesterday night on espn with Jalen Rose? I mean they had some white guy who was commenting that hadn't played since 1972 giving feedback and I would like to know his name. Also, it made no sense for him to be there because the primary "audience" wouldn't even remember him anyway. Not that I am saying he can't be there but he was a random guest.
