NBA 2011/12 Season Discussion Thread: Lockout Over

I mentioned it in the last page as well, he needs to learn how to shoot free-throws. If he would make a few more per game, his scoring average would be in the mid 20's. That's how much Dwight Howard would average too if Dwight will ever learn how to make his free-throws.

True, there's a small hitch in Blake's free throws. Dwight too. It screws up the release of the ball.

But seriously, Clippers fan must see a blind eye when Blake is playing. He's gotta be taught some new moves. When the ball gets fed to him, all he does is wait for the defense to settle and do this power post backing up, with some spin moves, pump fakes, and hopefully get a foul called.

Demarcus Cousins has gone on record and straight up said that Blake Griffin is a flopper. Lol...I would agree with him after seeing the replay of which foul Cousins was talking about during Thursday night's game. These two get to duke it out again on Saturday.

Wow, the Rockets beat the Lakers again. This time, in LA. Justin Timber....I mean, Goran Dragic had another big game again. At least Metta World Peace had a great game for once.

Can someone please beat the San Antonio Spurs? Just like that, they are now the best team in the West. Won their 10th straight game. But it might not matter come Playoff time right?

Speaking of which...every time I switch to ESPN...I keep seeing Cousins running into a basketball pole.:sly:

Not if the Frenchmen, the Argentinian, and the dude from the Caribbean say anything about it.:sly:

Man, the Kings weren't able to beat the Hornets. What a sad thing. However, good thing I didn't watch the game as I would've been pissed watching it.

Carmelo Anthony has been a man possessed since Linsanity and Amare went down. I didn't noticed that he has been playing the PF position too. Interesting. Could it that he's causing match-up problems or just that the team overall is playing well?

Lastly, Andrew Bynum grabbed 30 rebounds. Good lord that's a lot of rebounds! He's definitely the 2nd best Center in the league. I'm happy to see Metta World Peace like how Ron Artest used to play too. He had a great game and went 5-8 from 3 Pt range. I still don't think he should be chucking up that many 3s.

So, chronoxiong. You're a Kings fan. Are the Maloofs Brothers really that bad? There's been news about them not planning on making the new place for the Kings. And talks about moving to Anaheim.

My thoughts about what just happened about the Kings:

I'm not happy about it and think that the Maloofs are probably in more debt than it seems. They sound so bi-polar right now as it sounds like this is all just a ploy to officially get the team to move away. I'm sure Mayor Kevin Johnson is trying very hard to get the team to stay. Obviously David Stern is helping too. I don't know, the bad guys right now sound like the Maloofs. They were trying to live the life of playboys, and didn't seem to care about their future. It's their big mistake and I wonder if they will ever learn from it. If the team moves away after this, I'm not gonna care anymore too. The Maloofs will regret it because the fans love the team up in Sacramento. I did too when I lived there during college. So yeah, I will see if I still feel this way after the season ends soon.

David Stern will not be helping Kings anymore. His quote from Friday:

"I am extremely disappointed, on behalf of Maloofs and city of Sacramento, but I think that there's nothing further to be done. This is a situation that the Maloofs will make judgments on and city will have to make judgments on. I think we've done as much as we can do."

Yeah and we have the Maloof brothers to blame for it. It really seems like they want everyone else (except for them) to finance the new stadium while they just reap the extra income. They're already being given loans and they're still trying to find other ways to make a deal. That sounds fishy and most likely mean they are really broke. Very disappointing.

The Warriors have gone full tank mode as they are trying to be one of the worst teams in the league. They still have a lot of competition to beat in order to keep their lottery protected 1st round pick. Looking at their starting lineup against the Lakers, they stood no chance. I do think Klay Thompson has a bright future though. The Lakers just had their way against the young squad. Metta World Peace continues to play well in Kobe's absence.

The Kings were competitive against the Spurs but it wasn't enough as the Spurs pulled away in the 4th. Can someone please beat them? About the Kings though, Tyreke Evans was disappointing. He played over 30 minutes and scored only 5 points. What the hell is going on here?
