Since they've got the Naruto New Year marathon on CN, I figured I'd come in here and go all fanboy on Naruto, which has to be one of the coolest anime ever for fightscenes. Oh, and while I won't diss another anime whilst I'm in the topic, I will say this....Ninja PWN Pirates.
Nuff Said.
Anyways, I sort of figured that this show would drag REALLY bad when aired weekly (I'll never forgive Cartoon Network for that move), but for people whining about the filler...stop. The manga's not even done yet, and if you don't wanna read it (I'm addicted to it--hell I've only seen the anime up to episode 48, and then the next time I saw it was the AWESOME Naruto/Sasuke fight) then you're going to get filler.
Cartoon Network is doing this show okay...so far. Let's see how they do the impaling of Haku and Zabuza's last fight, then we'll judge. They DID keep Naruto's original music, so that's something to be thankful for. As far as kids liking the show...kids NEED shows like this. In fact, Naruto is FOR kids. So get over yourself if you don't want them to see it. The only thing that bothers me is they use that rocking Haruka Kanata opening but not the awesome song to go along with it. Anime companies everywhere--don't make up openings for anime. They don't need them.
As for Orochimaru...I get the feeling he'll be around the entire series. As for now...well, let's just say in the manga he and Jerkface (I mean Sasuke) are out of the picture, and they're dealing with some other enemies that you guys have already met. (For the record, I think the story picks up two and a half years later, not three.) I'm curious--where IS the anime right now? Still filler?
