My question to older anime fans

has anison lost its cause back in the day Shoenen and mecha Shows had really heroic themesda op nd ed while Shojo light hearted romantic themes compare say tobe gundam to Daybrakes bell D Techno life to Vajura or we Got power to Hikari e on what more true to the ideals of the show and or franchise

As for the whole topic of discussion...it's bloody music. If it sounds good, then it's good. Doesn't have to have any deep meaning. Besides, times have changed and tastes with them. What was popular then isn't what's popular now.

this is not about taste so you are saying that most newer anime openings fit the anime they are ment for no they dont not in the slightest im huge TMR fan but vestige does not fit gundam in any way and also a huge Larku fan
but niboe o f there songs that have been used fit the theme the anime that they have been used that's my main quarrel with it

oh the same goes for the last 3 kamen rider openings what in the hell is Kamiki aya's link to the franchise or the anison genre thats my main issue not the issue of ever changing tastes

It is a good topic but your grammar in the first post is almost incomprehensible.

But I do agree with you, and that is because back in the day pretty much every show had their opening theme made for them. In the last 6-7 years it's become popular to just take a popular song by a current artist and slap that over the opening. You mentioned Gundam and that's perfect. All of the Gundam shows had custom made opening songs that were specifically about the show up until Gundam Seed, where they just took popular TMR songs and used those. Other big shows like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece and tons of others do this, and I think it's disappointing.

So I completely agree with you. Some shows do still have original openings but the majority don't, and I think they have lost some of their specialness because of it.

all true when was the last time you tuned in to an anime and heard a song same about the anime is the style of Yamato or Harlock ones that carry true emotion

and anison is dead minus remakes ie stuff like Mazinkizer has there been anime opeing in the last 6 years that made you thats to that anime like say tobe Gundam does of Yuusha oh Tanjou does no i blame the studios for this AKFG are not an anime band the seatbelts are

toku the one place i thought that would remain musical true to it self Sentai has Ultra has Rider has not GACKT has No Link to KR or anison in general

side note i a huge malice mizer fan so seeing GACKT sing a toku opening annoyed me
