Episode 26 of Abaranger had the heroes dealing with anime characters, a fisherman and his son.
Those characters came from an anime series that TV Asahi was airing at the time, Tsuribaka Nisshi (Fishing's fool diary), a TV series adaptation of a manga (which spawned a long movie series as well) about a man whose passion was fishing. The abaranger episode was done in the context of a crossover between the two shows (and don't ask me what the executives at Toei smoke to think that making a crossover between a slice of life anime and a tokusatsu series was a great idea); and there has been an episode of the anime as well (episode 31 to be precise), where the Abarangers appear (voiced by the actors of the sentai (according to animenewsnetwork.com) (the title of the episode contains " vs abaranger")
Does someone know more about that anime episode, what it was about, or even have watched it?
