Monster Hunter Tri US will not have online fees.

Control wise, or weapon wise?
Also, I already have Tri, Imported it about 5 months ago. I'll probably pick up the domestic version though.

Haha. Damn, I was thinking about importing it, but I didn't look up the stuff for modding Wii's and junk.

Ok, well what are you doing for both then. I'm personally going to buy the bundle so I can get the controller, and if I don't like it, it's just another controller. As for weaponry, I used to love long swords, but I moved toward lances. So I'm most likely going for a lances again, and sword and shield.

Lances are nice, particularly later in the games once they start exploding. It makes it feel so dramatic. Aside from Lances though, ever since the PS2 I've been in love with hammers. I enjoy ranged combat too, when I have money to spare.

I'm not 100% if I'll get the bundle, since I already have a classic controller. I do like the new design and positioning for the shoulder buttons though.

Yea, at first I wasn't too crazy with the 'Poke, poke, poke, slide,' tactics that the lance provided, but once I got used to it all, it became really fun. I tried hammers, and I'm not too much of a fan. Just too slow for me.

Well I'm damn glad it's free. And unmei, you're right about Monster Hunter not having the same following here as it does in Japan. lol Kinda didn't really need to repeat that. But yea, there's a huge cult following over here. I don't know if anyone else has done this, but I've imported Monster Hunter Portable 2 and Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G. Plus the Minegarde site is full of Monster Hunter players. I just wish we had hunting parties like they do over in Japan.

It's gone far and above from being cult to being mainstream.

Anywho, I'm curious to see how the slash axes work. I'm personally a fan of longswords and greatswords.
