Death Frontier, that was the name given to this little chunk of hell on this barren world. There was desert as far as the eye could see with a few settlements here and there that were all grouped around some sort of oasis. Each of these communities were quite small, with barely any defenses which made them prime targets for Demons. Thats were people like Vayn and his group of Salvagers came in.

The white landship known as the Falcon was docked at one of these settlements, its purpose purchase various supplies, mostly food, water, fuel and any other essentials. After all in this world most couldnt afford to carry more than the bare essentials. Of course they didnt expect to get all of these supplies for free, as usual with Vayn's group they traded salvaged mobile suits for the necessary supplies. "Lets see, two Knight class mobile suits for all of this stuff." Vayn said as he looked over everything that was offered to them in exchange for the mobile suits. "Allright it seems fair, ill throw in some complimentary operations manuals as well." he said as he instructed a few of his crew members to bring out the mobile suits and then instructed a few more to begin loading the supplies onto the Falcon. "Remember if anyone asks, the person who sold you these suits wasnt Vayn Pyhrres. It was Bly Veran." he told his client. As a precaution he never used his real name for transactions like this, he knew that it was easy to tell where he had been if he used his real name, and the name Vayn Pyhrres was a bit too well known among the Demons, but the name Bly Veran would be easily overlooked. As an extra precaution most of his crewmembers also had pseudonymns.

A brown haired, brown eyed young man by the name of Kyle Durin was helping with the loading of supplies on the Falcon. He had been with Vayn's group for some time now and had grown used to moving from place to place all the time. This spot, however, was special. It had many known merchant shops and Kyle was wanting to go check them out, in an attempt to win over a certain someone. I would love to head into the settlement and look around at the shops. I've been holding a little something back for occasions like this. With it, I can get something for Alia. His pace quickened, trying to carry as much as he could so he would be able to finish his task quickly and ask Vayn for some free time later.

Outside the settlement, buried beneath the levels of sand lay the motionless Akatsuki. The blood red ship specialized in camoflauge and sneak attacks, reflecting upon the business of it's crew. The Akatsuki was the base used by Sasori, a ruthless band of pirates who scourged the land, stealing valuable merchandise. Today's target: The Falcon.

A cloaked figure stood upon the dune, binoculars in hand, gazing upon the docked Falcon. His assignment was to keep tabs on the Falcon and it's crew plus to take count of each and every Moble Suit entering and leaving it's cargo hold.

Let's see... that's two Knight class ms's leaving and... looks like some engine parts coming in. The cloaked figure pulled a walkie-talkie from his jacket and switched to a closed frequency. "Sir, I spot two Knight class mobile suits leaving and some engine parts coming in. I think that's all their stuff."

"Good. Get back to the ship. We'll wait until they pack up and head out before we strike."

"Gotcha." The figure walked down the side of the dune, disappearing from sight.

Meanwhile, an attractive blue-haired young woman wearing a black midriff top sat on top of the Falcon, gazing at the vast expanse of the desert, as well as the small settlement they stopped at. As her eyes shifted between the desert and the settlement, the young woman, named Alia Xymar, let out a small smile as she saw Vayn shake hands with some unknown man in the distance. Seems like a deal has been made. Maybe I should've gone down to check out any of the weapons shops in the settlement. Perhaps a visit to the fruit stand would've been great as well, Alia thought to herself, brushing a bit of hair behind her ears with her fingers as she observed the other crew members haul out a couple of mobile suits to be used as currency in exchange for food and other essential supplies.

Kyle had carried all he possibly could without using his mobile suit to carry the larger engine parts and he was anxious to check the settlement out now. Pulling the cloak he was wearing over his clothes closer to himself, as if to hide himself from someone, he approached Vayn for permission to visit the settlement. "Vayn, is it alright if I can head into the settlement? I know we need to keep moving, but there's something I want to check out." Kyle wasn't one to usually ask for free time as he was preoccupied with other tasks on the landship, such as maintenance on his mobile suit or making sure that none of the other crew members took more supplies than they needed. Then again, this time was special. He looked back at the landship for a second, checking to see if Alia was watching him. Unknown to him, Alia was on top of the Falcon and she could probably see him asking to go out. I want this to be a surprise. Please, Vayn, help a guy out here!

"Well seeing as we havent stopped in a while can stick around for a while and take a break from the usual running around." he told Kyle. "Just be sure to use your alias for any business transactions, and if your gonna buy something remember that all the money is shared between the crew so dont go completely nuts." he added. "Maybe I oughta pick up a little somethin' for Alia here while im at it......." he muttered rather quietly. While some were aware that Kyle had been attracted to Alia, there was also rumors circulating around the ship that Vayn himself may have also been attracted to her, since he had quickly offered to let her join after defeating the Varia Gundam, even though he could have just taken the Gundam.

A young man walked along the streets of his village. People were smiling and offering him whatever they were selling. "Kouji here have some fresh water for when you go home!" One of the people said giving him a container of water. "Thanks I'll pay you back!" He said then bumped into a young man finishing a trade of Knight class ms's. "Wow nice MS's where you get them?" He asked the guy while looking at his ship.

"Like many others, those units were buried in the desert and my crew and I pulled them out of the sand with our ship there." he explained. "The deserts may be harsh and dangerous but there are quite a few treasures lying beneath the sand, you just gotta be willing to look for them. Of course while we sell most units we keep a few for defense purposes." he told him. "Best way to make a living for those willing to take the risk."

Kouji nodded his head. "I know the feeling I myself salvaged something not far from here and now I use it to protect this place my home." He said still looking at the guy's ship. "So whats the name of the ship anyway?" He asked as he looked at the guy now. "Oh sorry my name is Kouji Shigure." He said extending his hand.

Kyle tried to keep his excitement in check as he heard Vayn tell him that it was alright for him to go on ahead. He then remembered on how he heard some of the crew say that Vayn himself had eyes on Alia. A serious look developed on the young man's face. Sorry, man. You may have taken me in when no one else would, but I'm sure as hell not going to let you take Alia for yourself. Seeing that Vayn was distracted by talking with Kouji, Kyle slipped off towards the settlement. As he was walking, he saw the usual sites that were standard fare in this world; ramshackle shacks that could barely hold their occupants, children running around in tattered clothes, and people rummaging through what they can to survive.

He reached what appeared to be a market district and it was bustling. Shop owners were proudly showing their wares with many interested customers looking at what they had for sale. What would Alia want? I don't think she's the type that would want some frivolous trinket. She did supposedly live on her own for a long while before we picked her up. Something practical... A certain shop caught his eye. It had numerous weapons and other salvaged items from the war. Jackpot! Maybe she would like a new handgun. Kyle then began to look at what it had to offer, taking his time in picking the perfect gift...
