Mobile Suit Gundam 00: Celestial Beings (rpg thread)

2307 A.D., a time when fossil fuels are depleted rendering all vehicles and other machinery that needed them to run fairly useless, because of this humanity turned to a new and limitless energy source: Solar Energy. With an energy source so bountiful it could be assumed that there would be enough for everyone and that wars for energy would finally cease.....

......And we couldnt have been more wrong about it. For the post part solar power was hoarded by those that actually had the resources and funds necessary the three super powers known as the Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations , the Advanced European Union, and the Human Reform League, all of which have the monopoly on solar power. Force this reason they have made their presence known and indiscriminantly attack any and all hostile forces. They say their goal is the eradication of war and they control mobile suits known as Gundams which are decades ahead of any of the mobile suits used by any of the three super powers. As of now the world can do little more than wait and watch for the Gundams to come down once more to carry out judgement on any that dare aim to start a conflict.

Time: February 16th, 2307

Location: Classified

Today was the unveiling and test flight of the AEU's latest mobile suit: the AEU-09 Enact.It was a sleek and highly manueverable model and possesed the transform like it's predecessor the AEU-05 Hellion and the models used by the Union. It's pilot the AEU "ace" pilot Patrick Colasour, truthfully he was only an ace in the loosest of terms as he had only been in simulated combat , and while he never lost a simulated battle he hadnt even participated in a real one. After pulling off a few uneedingly fancy manuevers he then swooped down and transformed the Enact into it's mobile suit form. The crowd was buzzing with comments after seeing this display, some admiring the pilot's "Skill", some commenting on the performance of the mobile suit and others pointed out the similarities between it and the Union's best unit the SVMS-01 Union Flag. Soon though the comments became silent as any and all communcation devices suddenly ceased to function as a glint of metal was seen rapidly approaching. The people began to panic in fear as the unknown object quickly approached the site and landed, causing a large cloud of dust to rise up as a result.

When the dust settled the object had been revealed, it was a mobile suit whose appearance was unique,even among its own kind with it's name engraved on it's forehead: Gundam. The GN-001 Exia, one of Celestial Being's Gundams whose abilities were decades ahead of any others, which specialized in close combat with it's arsenal of bladed weaponry. "Target confirmed." the Exia's pilot muttered quietly as it turned to face the Enact. "Proceeding with elimination of the target." he added as he prepared to engage in combat.

"Just who the hell do you think your dealing with here? Some ordinary grunt?"Patrick said through the Enact's loudspeaker. "I am legendary ace pilot, Patrick Colasour, winner of over 2000 simulated battles!! And now I shall defeat you!!!" he shouted If I defeat what ever this is I'll surely be considered a hero, maybe I'll even get a nice promotion or a medal for this. he thought as the Enact drew it's sonic blade and activated it, causing it to emit a loud screech which caused the spectators to cringe in pain. "Take this!!" he yelled as the thrust the blade toward the Gundam.

The Exia simply dodged the attacking before extending the large GN Blade on it's right arm and swinging it act the Enact, and like a hot knife through butter it effortlessly sliced through and took the Enact's left arm right off. Next Patrick attempted to use his linear rifle only to have the Enact's right arm and head chopped clean off before he could even have the trigger pulled.

"Th-This is impossible!!! Im no ordinary grunt pilot, Im Patrick Colasour!!! War game specialist, winner of over 2000 battles!!!!! I cannot be defeated like this!!!!" he cried as the the Enact's torso fell victim to the Exia's GN Blade and ended up falling to the ground while Patrick yelled pathetically at the Gundam as the spectators looked on in awe at what was just witnessed.

"Phase one, complete. Now commencing phase two." the Exia's pilot, Ascelpius Caduecus said before taking off, with three Hellions speeding after it in an attempt to take down the mysterious mobile suit.

The HRL Orbital Elevator, Tenchuu, was currently the site of a lavish party in order to commemorate it's 10th Anniversary since it's completion. Many high profile HRL government officials and celebrities were there of course including the beautiful and very well endowed celebrity Wang Liu Mei, who was secretly a member of Celestial Being. Such a gathering was naturally a very tempting target for anti-HRL terrorist groups.

Suddenly a hoard of AEU-05 Hellion which had been purchased by a terrorist group just to be used for such an occasion. There werent any HRL forces near enough to defend the Orbital Elevator there was only one thing that could stop an inevitable tragedy: the Celestial Being Ship known as Ptolemaios and the two mobile suits aboard it, the GN-005 Virtue and GN-006 Astrea.

Meanwhile on Earth in the nation of Colombia in an area filled with numerous drug fields and even more numerous illegal drug dealings were happening. An area like this was pretty much just trouble waiting to happen. After all drug lords from all over competed for business and it was only a matter of time before the mobile suits swooped in and the civilian casualties began piling up. The best option would be just to wipe them all out, which was just what the GN-003 Kyrios had been sent down to do....

As the three Helions began it's pursuit towards the mysterious mobile suit, one of the Helions was suddenly picked off out of the sky by a beam shot of unknown origin. "What? Where is that coming from?!" Before the pilot of the other Helion could respond, another beam shot ripped through it's wings, sending it plummeting towards the ground. On the ground, was another one of Celestial Being's Gundams, the GN-002 Dynames, which specialized in long-range combat and Sniping missions. The pilot inside locked on to the final Helion and pulled the trigger on the rifle-like control device that she was looking through. Another shot was fired from the Gundam's Sniper Rifle, ripping through the final Helion's wings and limbs, sending it to plummet and join it's two other comrades. Taking a moment to pause, the pilot inside the Gundam looked at what appeared to be a small green spherical robot that was docked into a port near the dash of the cockpit. It soon spoke in a happy tone, flapping it's two ear-like appendages. "Targets eliminated! Targets eliminated!"

Letting out a small smile from the sound of the robot's voice, the green haired and well-endowed pilot of the Dynames, Xifeng Song, kept her eye on the Exia as it continued it's way to it's destination. "Dynames, continuing assistance of Exia." The young woman looked back through the scope of the rifle-like control device, keeping an eye for any other Helions that might appear and interfere with Exia's mission...

-Columbia, Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations-

One by one, communications between drug dealers and civilians alike would go out. An elderly couple in a village would bang on the top of their barely-holding together 20th century radio, having missed an older dance program. That paled in comparison to the confused faces of drug cartels.

Flying above in the cloud cover, was the GN-003 Kyrios Gundam in mobile armor mode, dragging behind it a trailer. Inside the cockpit, wearing a Gundam pilot's suit with a modified Union emblem, was Gundam Meister James Alden Lanster. "James Alden Lanster reporting. Proceeding with mission." He said to the radio. He banked and dove. Many opportune targets below him, but he centered on a large, possibly hijacked or illegally purchased military truck meant to move Union Realdos, filled with crates of drugs. He sped up, making a pass a mere meter from the treeline and blowing a few lookouts from an observation tower to their doom.

"In nomine Patris et fillii et Spiritus Sancti." He said, doing the sign of the cross at a viewscreen, where an amplified view of an utterly shocked drug dealer came about. A few old outdated mobile suits came out with infantry, and attempted to shoot down the Gundam. Unfazed, James launched his missiles, two high yield incendiary missiles per field. Multiple fields. After that, he sped up once more, and released his spent missile pod. Like an old gravity bomb, it rammed one mobile suit, crushing it and the command hut behind it.

"Make maize, not drugs next time." He said to himself, while he systematically hunted down enemy mobile suits and drugs shipments. Within 10 minutes, he was done.

"Martyr here. Phase one complete." He said, leaving behind large patches of the Columbian rain forest ablaze.

"Nice shooting as always Dynames."Asclepius said to the pilot of the Dynames after the effortless sniping of the Hellions "Ascelpius here, commencing Phase two. Get ready Dynames." Asclepius said as the Exia rocketed toward the AEU's still incomplete orbital elevator.

Like a swarm of bees attempting to protect their hive no less than twelve Hellions swooped in to keep the Exia away from their nation's most valued object.

"Looks like they were eager enough to take the bait." Asclepius muttered to himself. "Targets confirmed, commencing with the attack." he said as he fired his GN Rifle and fired a few shots which took out a couple of Hellions before he extended his GN Sword once more and began hacking away in his preferred close range style

Xifeng didn't react to the compliment given to her and just proceeded to begin sniping at the other Helions that had swarmed out of the orbital elevator. Seeing that one was behind Exia, Xifeng locked onto it first and shot it out of the sky, before it could perform any sneak attacks on the Gundam. Moving onto to two other Helions, the Gundam took them out as well with two more precision shots. The green haired woman paused momentarily at her results. Yet another battle that proves that I'm not of this world... Spotting another Helion to snipe, it soon became another victim to the Dynames's GN Sniper Rifle.

"I have control...." Shan said activating his helmet visor over his white and gray pilot suit. "Astraea, Scarlet mode...set priority to..." Before he could finish his words he saw on the screen the enemy trying to by passed into the party by traveling along a shield. "They’ll deploy Tierens in 300 sec." Shan said as the Astraea turned red from its grayish standby mode into its Scarlet red form. A masked sensor like a Flag covered its face, concealing the fact that it was a Gundam mobile suit as instructed by Veda.

A couple of hours earlier….

Shan floated in a red globe, as he read the information given by the Veda’s artificial intelligent system. “It going to begin soon” Shan said and left the field to only be surprised to see the tactical forecaster Sumiragi waiting for him. “Shan I have an edit to Veda’s plan” Shan stood there and listened to her proposal “I understand and will comply” not before long Shan instead went to his room to put on a suit that was prepared for him by Felt. It wasn’t before long that he attending the ceremony for the human reform league. “You know if you keep your frown, like that girls won’t like you” Wang Liu Mei told Shan, clinging to his arm as he was her escort. “I’ll try and look a little less excited” Shan return a witty comment causing the famous actress to smile and giggle. “You know you wouldn’t be so bad if you smile more” She said and left him, for the crowd. “Perhaps…” Shan replied looking at the watch on his wrist “It’s time I hope Sumeragi san is correct about this” Shan said and boarded Liu Mei’s ship where his Gundam was cleverly hidden.

“Astraea commencing mission – phase 3-“Shan said and waited for the second part of the mission to come together, Virtue’s presence “Please don’t be late, Qilin”

Surely enough, within 300 seconds, a squad of Tierens was deployed to intercept the group of terrorists that were closing in the orbital elevator, Heaven's Pillar. Unfortunately, they were too late to do anything as the terrorists were hiding behind the rings and were prepared to launch the missiles.

Just before the Tierens could react, all but one Hellions, along with the missiles, were suddenly enveloped in a pink beam and evaporated completely. The source of the particle beam came from one of the five Celestial Being's Gundam, GNY-005 Gundam Virtue.

The pilot of the Gundam announced, "Virtue, entering mission area. Continuing with operation. Shan, the last Hellion is for you!"

(OOC: Sorry for holding this up for a while, I had to sort something out.)

" I don't understand why Sumeragi would sent me out here, in a mask just so I can watch the over killing done by Quilin" Shan said quietly to himself. Naturally he's a very quiet boy who usually only talks to a few, most of the time he would never think out loud. After hearing the transmission from Quilin Shan sighed, you couldn't of just finished all of them... Shan thought, initially he wasn't even suppose to be a part of the initial mission, but going agianst Veda's plan Sumeragi entered him anyways. "well this is probrably why" Shan said and dashed infront of the heillion who was totally unaware of Shan's presence. With a quick swipe of the saber the Hellion Split into two and exploded.

“Hahaha, nice job Shan. I couldn’t have done it without you.†Qilin said half-jokingly as he watched the two halves of the mobile suit exploded. Even though Shan’s role in this mission was nothing more than being an observer, he didn’t want him to feel unimportant for not being able to actively partake in their first mission. Also from his angle, there was no way he could have fired the shot without burning everyone, including Wang Liu Ming, in the party alive. Qilin quickly scanned through the area. The Tierens were still stationary, making no obvious attempt in attacking either Qilin or Shan. The pilots and the party members are most likely still in awe at the third party intruding and the overwhelming powers they have exhibited. Qilin took one last look at the Tierens before both Virtue and Astraea quickly left the scene and returned to Ptolemaios.
