Well, I don't know what's wrong with you guys. I avoided most of the internet until I could play MGS4 on Monday to avoid the smallest chance of spoilers, because MGS is serious fucking business. I finished it for the first time yesterday, it's full of fantastic surprises and they couldn't have done the ending any better. I'm not gonna go into details because it looks like none of you have actually finished it, go and DO IT.
I spent today doing this, one step at a time up to Extreme:

Im still working my way through it. Im on Act 4 right now. My cousin finished it today, so I kinda know how far I have to go. But, its still been a crazy and fun ride so far. He said the ending was great too, so Im pumped.
The one thing that annoyed me is that if you have multiple people playing it on the same PS3 and each person is on a different Act, it has to install every time you load it cuz it has to change acts. That is a bit annoying. But I get over it as soon as I start playing.

^^It has to install between acts no matter what, I played the above run in one sitting today and it had to install each act.

Yeh. but, we get great detail from it so its all good.
You played it in one day? damn. Well, I guess if you skip all the cutscenes it isnt that long of a game.
So, for the MGO, does it have to install all over again like with the beta? And how long did it take? Im avoiding it till I finish cuz I know ill be hooked.

I don't know, I haven't touched Metal Gear Online yet. I played the beta and it kicked serious ass, so I'll be starting it soon.

I loved the beta. And now that Im more used to the controls, I can kick some ass in it when I get there.

Sounds good, I'm SkeetTron5000 on PSN (I think Badonkadonk was taken). I'll get to it pretty soon, right now I just can't get enough of the story mode.
The only other online game I have is Resistance, I literally bought the PS3 near launch just so I could play MGS4 whenever it came out. It's the best game I've ever spent $710 on, totally worth it.

I'm not going to lie. I got the game on the Thursday it came out, and finished it the following Friday night, and I didn't skip the cutscenes either... Haha, I was a zombie at work the next day. :laugh:
Totally worth it though. I'd argue it's the best ending in video game history. People who claim that games like GTA and Halo are epic really need to take a look at this series (not discrediting those two games, just throwing examples out there).
