Did anyone else get that impression when playing through the first game?

It kinda felt like the producers borrowed inspiration from Den-O.

There's one glaring flaw with that though... the first Ryuusei no RockMan came out several weeks before Den-O aired.

Ryuusei no Rockman released on 12/14/06
Den-O started its run on 01/28/2007

The possession and forms may be similar in concept, but it's pretty hard to be borrowing inspiration from something that wasn't even in preproduction when they started planning the Ryuusei no rockman series

I don't see any similarities between MMSF and Den-O. o_O

The only thing that came to mind was the atrocious Cross Fusion from the MMBN anime.
