Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legend The Movie

A tad late, but ...

Did anyone ever explain why Shin Asuka/Dyna was included in Ultra Galaxy Legend? Technically, there was no reason for him to end up in the Showa Universe's "Land of Light", rather than his own.

But, assuming he did, and, from the Ultraman Zero movie, we see that the ultramen can travel to different realities, I see several possibilities:

1) He was healed from his injuries he'd sustained in the final episodes of his series, but was unable to return home. So, he's looking for the way home.

2) Or, especially considering *how* he got those injuries, he may be *unwilling* to return home. Especially considering that by now, the TPC has probably declared him _legally dead_. In that case, he could've either settled in the Land of Light, or even in the Showa Earth interstellar civilization.

2) He was healed and got home, but decided to return to the Land of Light later on for his own reasons. In that case, what kind of "journey" could he be on?

Guesses? Speculations? Magazine articles?

The real reason? Tsuruno Takeshi's been having a surge of popularity (that sadly seems to be dying) in the last few years. He was a member of a band formed by the host of a variety quiz show. It was a three member band called Shuchishin and basically formed because its members were the most popular guests on the show because they were, bluntly, the dumbest, and that was somehow endearing to people. That band got popular, did their thing for about a year, broke up, and then they've been having decent solo careers since then.

I've always been really impressed that, even when he's been super popular, he's been willing to go back to tokusatsu. ...though it's basically his only major role ever (one of his bandmates once said "You know, I never really thought of you as an actor, you don't act much!" because...well, he doesn't)

In show reason? That black hole probably sent him way the hell across the other side of existence to the Shouwaverse and he's been traveling around trying to find his way back home.

So, his popularity seems to be dying down. On the other hand, he'd been on that quiz show for a good ten years or so; and his musical career seems to be going steady. Hopefully, something else will strike gold for him.

Since Dyna is the only Ultraman who had a tragic ending to his show, this might be a good time to use a movie to rectify things. Mebius explored how an Ultra affected Earth people - it's way past time to see what a *human* Ultraman would affect Ultra.
