Well according to Tsuburaya's booth at this years Licensing Show they are looking to get Ultraman out there into the states (and other countries) in any shape or form. Whether be it a straight up dub, uncut DVD release, or a Power Ranger's style adaptation. All of this for the upcoming 50th Anniversary.
You know, It's makes me sad when i found out how much easier it is to find torrent for Kamen rider and Sentai than Ultraman. It's like people treating that Ultraman is not as good as Kamen Rider or Sentai.
I know us Ultraman fans whine, sometimes. But we can. It's because there's almost no Ultraman news on here in porpotion to the amount of Toei news. Just take one look at the Site Announcements section and you'll see nothing but Toe stuff. I think it might as well be changed to "Toei Updates & Announcements" People like Jedibmoney are helping that to change. He's written some really articles for the news section, so yeah, we still have some love shown. . .
I have to disagree. I thought Seven X had a great sense of humor when compared to the other "dark" series, Nexus. I enjoyed Seven X for being Ultraman by way of Philip K. Dick and for being a further example of the variety I love Tsuburaya Pro so much for.
Also, episode 7 is one my favorite episodes of the entire Ultra series and I would hardly call it "dark." It was a great mix of humor, drama, and romanticism!

As I mentioned in another thread: Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Double & Decade: Movie War 2010 comes out the same weekend as this film! I can't wait to laugh at how this debuts at like number 8, and Ultraman at 2 or 3  I don't care how the majority is here, in Japan Ultraman rakes in the cash at the box office. The epic cinematic quality is just not there for Toei.
