McFarlane Halo:Reach figures--backward-compatible?

Just asking if anyone's bought any of the Halo:Reach figures (the McFarlane ones, not the larger Square Enix ones) and actually played with them. The older McFarlane Halo figures could all have their helmets, armor, etc. swapped amongst themselves where possible (usually the Spartans, but Elites had this too).

Thing is, the Reach figures don't have any advertising on their packs about part-swapping, unlike the older Halo figures. And just by the look, I'm very doubtful they can (especially for Jorge, who is grapping HUGE for a Spartan).

Can the new Reach figures be part-swapped with the older figures, or not? I'm going to be buying the Marine 2-pack (I need more Marines, period!), but am debating whether I can buy one of the Noble Team figures and use their armor bits/details on my two existing Spartan figures. Definitely the weapons are interchangeable, but I'm really focusing on the armor.

Hm.. looks like the Halo Reach armor pegs are slightly bigger then the old releases.

Anyway, I bought Noble Six and the UNSC Trooper Two-pack. And I'm a little bit annoyed. Noble Six is NOT the biggest Spartan in Noble Team, last I checked. Yet...

The UNSC Troopers are half a head taller than my ODST figures, and Noble Six is also half a head taller than my Halo 3 Spartan figures (MkVI White and Scout). Weapons are also radically bigger--the Reach shotgun is about an inch-inch and half longer than the Halo 3 shotugn, and a hell lot beefier. In fact, the Battle Rifles that came with my ODSTs look like a cardboard cutout mockup in Noble Six's hands.

EDIT: Halo Toy Wiki says the Battle Rifles that came with the ODST and Spartan Scout are undersize compared to most other figures with BRs. Go figure. Just my luck.

I've got no issues with the look of the figures, but...I guess even if the accessories had been interchangeable with the old series, they'd look too small and out of place on the Reach stuff.
