Mazinkaiser - Talkback

I just finished watching the OVA and the follow-up movie, Mazinkaiser vs. Ankoku Daishogun (Great General of Darkness), and I just wanted to know if anyone else has seen this masterpiece?

I thought the the OVA was one of the best super robot shows I've ever seen, with a perfect blend of comedy and hot-blooded action! The movie, however, despite some amazing battles that you will never see anything else like, was kinda depressing, which completely took me by surprise since the OVA was so lighthearted.

Overall, though, Mazinkaiser ROCKS!

I saw it, and I like it a lot too. Haven't seen the follow-up movie yet but I plan to someday. The only thing I didn't like that much about the thing is until the last episode or so is Mazinkaiser is totally unbeatable. I like the heroes to be challenged.

I've got the OVA...and I couldn't bring my self to finish it despite liking the unit in SRW.

I'd probably like it more if I saw the original Mazinger Z
