If you're so desperate for a dvd version, import them. Problem solved.

Fact is they have no reason to release the dvds here, it's not Bandai's fault, it's not 4kids fault, it's everyone's fault. The episodes probably had more pirates than initial viewers, it was a niche show, and the people who it was geared towards have a pretty strong history of just downloading kamen rider episodes rather than watching them on broadcast. The DVDs are going to be the exact same story. Don't blame the companies for killing the show, blame the people who claim to support it, but only online, where they're making no revenue off of it.

I like how people forget that 4kids was the ONLY network that showed any interest in broadcasting it...so give them some credit.

And let's face it: It probably would've gotten canned on any other network it would've gotten on.

Yeah I mean, Saban got shot down by many before Fox gave them a chance, now those many lost their chance. lol

I think we let our dreams of having KR in America (again) got in the way of how bad DK is. They got there chance, unfortunately It sucked, Bandai fucked up..as usual, and that's it.

If you look at It, PR was cheesy as ****. lol but made it's way permanently in US pop culture. There is not a person I know who didn't watch PR. So I guess adness isn't the ultimate company for picking up toku. I guess DK trying to be super serious was painfully obvious that it came out bad?

I can agree with you on that sentiment. I believe they should've adapted Faiz first because the initial story is a rip-off on the Guyver series because a corporation creates the monsters ,the 3 henshin devices ,and all of the devices get lost and taken by random people, which fight that organization. All they have to do is mix in the classic Kamen Rider story of cyborgs and it would have been great , if it was on the proper channel and advertised properly.

Then again, nothing surprises me about 4Kids in that they're like NamcoBandai and certain games like NamcoxCapcom and most of the "Tales" games in that if they decide not to release them outside Japan, they won't let any other companies publish them outside Japan [which is hypocritical of them seeing as they had no problem with Atlus USA publishing SRT:OG - Endless Frontier which had all kinds of references to NamcoxCapcom as well as the three main characters from that game; Reiji, Xiaomu and Saya playing major roles in said game!]

It's not really 4Kids fault that it's not shown in the UK, as any UK network can work out a deal with Adness to air it, much like Japan did on Toei Channel, among many other networks, in many other countries. If 4Kids already own the UK broadcasting rights, which I'd highly doubt they do, I'm sure they'd be more than happy to sell them off to any other network, given that it's just wasted money for them if they don't use it.

So instead of importing the Malaysian DVDs, which there's a pretty damn good chance that it will just be the regular undubbed US version anyway, or at least have it included, given the nature of the country, you'll only pirate the episodes, because you can't import a US DVD? That's a pretty prime example of my previous statement right there.
