Not really. In the game, there were dream sequences where Max was either knocked unconcious by someone or drugged. You would play the dream sequences where weird images and delusions would occur. Maybe thats what those supernatural scenes are from. Or they may have taken a different direction with it. Who knows.

I think they are just Hallucinations rather than Super Natural beings.

That makes the movie looks soo much better. I cant wait for it to come out. Could be the second game adaptation that is actually good.
