Anti-Ameriites.... I can see Masked Rider being done well now. After all of what we've sen done with Power Rangers over the years, all one would need do is follow the action adventure route.

Nothing has shown that they'd "ruin" Kamen Rider.... which they can't. Kamen Rider will always be Kamen Rider. What they could mess up.... is Masked Rider.

Have it an action/sci-fi show of a young guy fighting demons and it'd be all good.

But there are some out there that will hate it no matter what. Because it's American it will automatically equal crap.

Thankfully not everyone is like that, including me who just enjoys shows that're done well no matter what label is upon them.

So, if Disney's ready to give it the Power Ranger treatment and keep it focused on charismatic characters and action and not trying to insert some strange 80's sitcom element in it, I'd be golden. :thumbs:

I agree completely here and its what I've been saying forever. Im ready to see a new Masked Rider. Starting with Agito or Kuuga or what not and see them work their way up. The same way they do PR. New cast each season. Fresh story each season. Team ups perhaps. Etc. 40 episode each season would be great.

Hell, speaking of Gransazer and Justies. I remember someone saying a long while back that Lion Gate Films was supposed to be doing an american adaption of Grandsazers for Kids TV. But I guess nothing happened with that. I forget when I heard about it but it feels like that was a long while ago and we probably would have heard something about it by now and nothing so far. Hm. Guess they decided not to. Which is understandable because Grandsazer didnt have alot of easily adaptable footage to use like Super SEntai does.

Kamen Rider has a ton of footage easily adaptable for American footage though.

and blah blah blah. Masked Rider (The Saban Show) Sucked of course. But that doesnt mean any future attempts at it will suck. Im almost positive they would do a much better job at it today/

The only way I can accept an American version of Kamen Rider 555 or any Kamen Rider series, is..

..is that they simply translate it into English.
No booting out Japanese characters and replacing with American characters, no changing of names, no changing of storyline, no editing out "violent" scenes, no bullshit!! I want it to be exactly the same and no different to the Japanese original (unlike Saban's Masked Rider was to RX). If Takumi is in the Japanese original then he should be in the American version too, and should be called "Takumi", not "Bobby" or any other bullshit, just simply "TAKUMI", and the same goes with the other Japanese characters. Even if his lips lose synch with the American voiceover, that doesn't matter. I've seen the German dub of Winspector and Power Rangers, and they had synch loss with the lips, but that didn't bother me at all. The American version of 555 should also include the original Japanese background music too. No Hip Hop / Rappy Bullshit!! Everything that was from the Japanese original must be in the American version, with it's original Japanese names and original Japanese EVERYTHING!!! All I want is simple straight English translation, *bangs fist to desk, hard* no bullshit!!

Because if a Japanese TV show is going to be shown worldwide it should be shown in it's original Japanese form, and not made into an American show. Otherwise it should not be shown. If the American audiance don't like the Japanese original, that basically means they just don't like Japanese TV Shows.

And no I am not being an "Anti Americanitus" (or whatever it's called). I do enjoy watching an episode of The Simpsons now and again, in it's original American form. How would you like it if they made The Simpsons into an Anime, and renamed Homer as "Hayabusa", Marge as "Kasumi", Bart as "Jin", etc.. bet you wouldn't like that!!

hmm some things u have said are just plain stupid to be quite frank, they would have to put in thier own charachters power rangers does it and its a success the show has to have some origanllity to it not just a comeplet and utter remake of the japensse version and you said the same name for the rider thats just dumb your basing your opinion of what happend in the past with masked rider and your saying that since its origanlly from japan it sohuld be kept in its orginal form if that happend there would be no power rangers at all
