Marvel Ultimate Alliance

Hell yes! I haven't been able to put down my controller since I bought it on friday...I wonder if I should do a player review of it?

about a dozen, I was dissapointed though on a fanwank level. too many characters feel like they controll the same (Spider woman & Iron Man???) and there's no where near as many costumes as Legends 2 had. plus the fact that constumes now define the character instead of just being a skin kind of takes the fun out of it.

Lets see.

Blade
Cap. America(U.S. Agent as one of his outfits)
Deadpool
Dr. Strange(Blue Mage as one of his outfits)
Ekektra
Ghost Rider(Veneance and Phantom Rider as two of his outfits)
Human Torch
Iceman
Invisible Woman
Iron Man(War Machine as one of his suits)
Luke Cage
Ms. Marvel(Sharon Ventura as one of her outfits)
Mr. Fantastic
Spider-Man :buttrock: (Scarlet Spider and Iron Spider-Man as one of his outfits)
Spider-Woman(Arachne and Spider-Girl as two of her outfits.)
Storm
The Thing
Thor(Beta Ray Bill in one of his looks)
Wolverine.

X-Box, GC(I think), PS2, and PC characters you can unlock.
[hide]Black Panther
Daredevil
Nick Fury
Sivler Surfer[/hide]

PSP ONLY.
[hide]Black Widow
Cap. Marvel
Hawkeye
Ronin[/hide]

Next-Gen ONLY.
[hide]Colossus
Moon Knight(Khonshu as one of his looks)[/hide]

And each character has 4 suits.

Well that's true but on the gameplay level it's still the same enjoyable dungeon-crawling seen in X-Men Legends. And at least now we don't have to worry about bloody potions anymore. The locations are more diverse now so it's not like the player's always stuck in some dark moody place.

I've got this preordered for Wii, but I don't know if I'm actually going to pick it up or just cancel it and use the money on Red Steel...I didn't enjoy X-men Legends, not because the game-play wasn't fun, but because it was way too hard and I couldn't keep any of my characters alive. With the whole not having to worry about potions thing, has keeping track of health gotten easier?

Well, the difficulty level remains the same as X-Men: Legends but at least there's no need to worry about health anymore. Defeated enemies drop health and energy orbs that automatically go towards the hero that needs them most. Boss characters require constant whacking to make them drop the orbs at intervals. If all your characters are full-up, the orbs still got to your heroes but are converted to experience. It's definitely a nice change.

The problem is staying alive long enough to actually defeat the enemies. At some points of the game, even while playing on easy, the AI is capable of beating your hero up before you can beat him up. It's challenging, but in a good way. I recommend that you pick up MUA if you enjoyed XML.
