There is no way Wolverine and Deadpool would have been able to defeat the Hulk, unless they could find a way to revert him to Banner. Wolverine and Deadpool have normal human strength, associated with someone in good shape. Up until the mid-2000's Wolvie's claws could not penetrate greenie's skin (he could with the grey Hulk all along). I suppose it makes it more sporty, otherwise Wolverine could do nothing besides dance around him.
