That's not a box set. It's how Soul Eater has been released in America.

Gundam 00 Vol 1 is 9 episodes (225 minutes here, 45 minutes in Japan - costs more). School Rumble Vol 1 was five (125 minutes, 46 minutes in Japan - costs more). Darker Than Black Vol 1 was five as well (125 minutes her, 50 minutes in Japan - costs more.).

That's at random. In all cases we get more episodes for less.

MrMonk, I suggest you just let this one go. You have already provided perfectly sound evidence with the math to back it up and if this person still says otherwise at this point any chance of reasonable argument has been lost.

Though that wasn't my fucking point to begin with. The blatant lie was "They wouldn't buy even if it were cheap" way to misread that situation but I still say it's not that whole much of a difference. They get free gifts with most of the crap and even if anime were to be cheaper how much **** do they have that's cheaper there than we do here. Anyway even if you're right you're at fault so it's whatever I don't give a damn anymore.

A lot. I can get one piece DVDs for cheaper compared to the cost over there. I can get Naruto for cheaper then what it costs over there. Haruhi the same deal. I can get Get Backers for about a dollar a pop these days.
The only thing that stops me from buying all this at once is my figuarts hobby. However the point is that they assume the people who just pirate this stuff will not buy it even if it's cheap. Which is not true for everyone but is true for most. Casual pirating is being stopped here but you can always try and find a source to download these. At least the majority.
