According to Sankaku complex:

The event’s itinerary includes a tour of the shrine, a meal and “confession time.â€

Male participants must be 18-40, and “something of an otaku.†Participation costs ¥8,000.

Women must be 18-35, and either otaku themselves or “with an understanding for or not objecting to otaku.†Women are promised a free souvenir as well as free participation.

40 people are sought for the event, depending on circumstances, with the event to be cancelled if participants are fewer than 20 in number.

The event itself is being run by the local Washimiya chamber of commerce (which could perhaps be more accurately described as the Lucky Star chamber of commerce).

So these match making party's, Called "Konkatsu", are becoming quite popular in the land of the rising sun. To any not in the know, It's basically pairing up lonely people who ether can't get dates otherwise due to a number of reasons (Too busy with work/school, Not social etc...).

The Washinomiya chamber of commerce has concocted a Konkatsu that caters exclusively to Otaku.

For those not gifted with the Japanese Language, here is the jist of it:
-The Konkatsu with feature a tour of the Washinomiya Shrine (somewhat of a Pilgrimage site for Anime Otaku), Dinner and "Confession Time".
-They are looking for men, aged 18-40, who are Otaku.
-Also for Women, aged 18-35, who ether understand or don't mind of they are paired with an Otaku.
-Entry is 8,000 yen for men and Free for women. Women will also get a souvenir.

I guess it would not be so bad, if the gal's are ether understanding or don't care.
