Looking for Anime Like "Attack on Titan," Any Suggestions?

The emotional weight and intense action of "Attack on Titan" had me hooked from the very first episode. I'm specifically drawn to the intricate world-building, moral dilemmas, and the way the story challenges the nature of freedom and humanity. If anyone else felt the same thrill, I'd love some recommendations for similar anime that pack that same punch. I've already checked out "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" and "Tokyo Ghoul," but I'm craving something that dives even deeper into those complex themes. The urgency and high stakes are what I'm after, bring on the heart-wrenching moments and epic battles!

The high stakes and moral dilemmas you mention remind me of "Neon Genesis Evangelion." That series really gets into the psyche of its characters while challenging concepts of identity and existence, all set against a backdrop of intense battles and world-ending threats. The emotional weight in both shows really pulls you in, making you rethink what it means to be human amidst chaos.
