Lion Maru G - Talkback

How many episodes is this series anyway? I forgot to ask, plus now the DVD info's been posted here already.

Wonder if the special editions will be worth buying. I'd like to get the figures with the last two volumes anyway.

Episode 8 was interesting. We're introduced to a new character, Yuri. I guess she used to work alongside Jou for Gousan, but then quit and went off on her own. She may have gotten her supernatural abilities from Gousan, I don't know, but she's using them against him by killing the people who are getting "high" off those Skull Eye dealies. What's weird though is this background character, Master, who runs the Snack Z where Saori, Kosu K, and Shishimaru usually meet up, is connected to Yuri. Based on the photo he was looking at might he be her father? I wondered why the character was in the title credits since he hadn't even spoken until now. It was funny how they made a point about that in the episode.

Overall this episode was mostly talk, but still enjoyable (well except for a few side comedy moments, but I try to ignore those). Next epsiode we see Tiger Joe battle Yuri and Lion Maru battle Yuri's "sidekick" (whatever he is). Looks like it's going to be good, but I'm still disapointed that there are no monsters in the series.

So episode 9 was interesting. Loved the fight scenes, but story-wise I'm really confused. All I can make out is that not just Shishimaru, but Jounosuke as well is going through some significant changes. I still don't get how some of these other characters play into things but it at least seems interesting. Despite my non-comprehension I really liked this episode, although the ending made it seem like we're drawing near to a conclusion. I'd hate for the series to end so soon as it's been getting better and better.

The next episode looks like another "wtf" episode, but I think it might be fun. Plus I think Kashin Koji, might finally reveal some that precious info he's been withholding (not that i'l understand it when or if he does  ).

Question: Are there any actors on this show who appeared in the previous Lion Maru shows? I've only seen a handful of episodes so I wouldn't really know. I think it would be so cool if the original Shishimaru, Tetsuya Ushio, made a cameo before the series ended.

I'm sad to find out the series will only be 13 episodes. But at least there's some exiting things to look forward to, like episode 10. Although maybe it's more crazy than anything:

10話から真影ことシシトラ(唐橋充)登場。
ギンサチとキンサチを奪い、第三の剣士ライオンタイガーに変身する

This Shishitora person shows up, swipes Kinsachi and Ginsachi (Lion Maru and Tiger Joe's swords) and becomes Lion-Tiger? Whoa, what's going on?

I didn't see the special but his hair was darker, like a redish brown, in the series. Pretty much the same as he appeared in Justiriser.

Anyhoo I'm surprised no one's commented on the actor who played Kaido (Snake Orphnoch) in Kamen Rider Faiz, being the new "cat" in Lion Maru.

That's who that is? Thought he looked familiar.

So the series is only going to be 13 episodes? Kinda wish this Lion-Tiger would have come in sooner.
