Like Koji seto is an Oha Star..

Oha Suta a morning kids show program from tv tokyo. from what i remembered Koji seto didn't had to audition for Kamen Rider Kiva at all. his popularity in Oha suta back in 2007 was already enough for director Ryuta Tasaki to ask him to play in kiva.

Kids loved Koji Seto as Oha, so Ryuta Tasaki wanted to create probably the same effect. don't actualy know if that actualy worked or not.

from what i heard their was actualy a Interview of this.

In other words him being a pretty boy is not the reason to make to series popular, that means that they did not let him play in the series because girls like him that might get the effect but the main reason was that he was a Oha star and not some kind of girl magnet or that housewifes likes pretty boys...

Casting in these shows is a lot more complicated than "the director wanted". There're lon-term financial interests from every side involved that speak much louder than one director's personal taste.

Still, even if it was just a case of the director wanting it, it wouldn't help Seto's case. It would mean that if looking completely inappropriate for the role and having an obvious lack of respect for the genre that makes his already average acting even more indulgent isn't enough, he also got a protagonist role for no other reason than because the director wanted to capitalize on a semi familiar face.

But yeah. I'm gonna stop here because I'm a hater anyway.
